JLPL started in 1995 with the name of Janta Estates and Housing Development Limited. But in 2003, they transformed into Janta Land Promoters Limited. The group has a strong presence in Mohali and other cities of Punjab.

The group has now extended its presence to Himachal with independent luxury villas at Kasauli. JLPL has an extended presence in not just residential projects but specialised projects like Super Mega Mixed Use Integrated Industrial Park.
